The Northern Utah Trailfest started in 2022 as a fall celebration for all trail users! It’s a festival for outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who enjoys adventure and recreation. Runners, hikers, mountain bikers — all will enjoy the challenge of the NUT Trail Run and Mountain Bike Race as they compete to complete the most course laps in the timed 3, 6 or 9* hours loops. (*The 9-hour event is for the trail run only) New in 2024 is the addition of a duo option in either of the two timed six hour races!

Camp for the weekend or spend the day at North Fork Park as trail users of all ages and abilities come together to enjoy tasty food, live music, and the Free Community Trailfest-ival at Cutler Flats Base Camp.

Experience the beauty of fall foliage and share in the excitement and camaraderie of the ‘NUT’ by participating in free festival activities and educational opportunities including guided hikes, stargazing, yoga, and more. Join the thousands of people who have gone ‘NUT’s with us these past few years.

The Northern Utah Trailfest (affectionately known to locals as ‘The NUT’) is co-produced by two local 501(c)3 nonprofits, GOAL Foundation and Trails Foundation of Northern Utah as well as in support from the Weber County Parks and Recreation. Join us at North Fork Park located in Eden Utah, one of Utah's certified International Dark Sky Parks, for an epic celebration of the trails on October 4–6, 2024.

The GOAL Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission to inspire the Greater Ogden Community and its visitors to “Get Out And Live” by participating, volunteering, and spectating at recreational events, programs, and activities.

Founded shortly after the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, the GOAL Foundation—with the assistance of a myriad of local businesses and thousands of volunteers—aims to attract, organize, support, and encourage premier athletic events that promote an active lifestyle. GOAL produces multiple renowned events in Weber County including the Ogden Marathon, Winter Race Circuit, and El Doce at Powder Mountain. GOAL also organizes free and low-cost community programming, including youth summer camps for kids ages 6-18.

We envision a Greater Ogden Community that thrives economically and is healthier in mind, body, and spirit. To learn more and get involved, visit: https://www.getoutandlive.org/

Trails Foundation of Northern Utah is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission to plan, promote, protect, construct and maintain a network of public pathways, trails, and related open spaces for non-motorized users throughout Northern Utah as well as to educate, advocate and to raise awareness of the trails.

Formerly known as Weber Pathways, Trails Foundation Northern Utah, was founded in 1995 by three concerned citizens who wanted to build a pedestrian trail in Ogden Canyon. Concerns for private property rights in the Canyon pointed the founders down a different “path” that included the development of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail, Pineview Loop Pathway, Centennial Trail and many others since then. TFNU produces the free yearly Northern Utah Trails Map, now employs a full time seasonal Trail Crew who work throughout Northern Utah to build, maintain, preserve and protect non-motorized, multi-use trails and is spearheading a “Be Nice, Say Hi” approach to trail manners education hoping to reach all trail users where they are for an enhanced trail experience.
